A Call to Worship: Psalms for the Year
There are 48 different Psalms listed here to open the worship service with. The reasoning is to have one for every Sunday service of the year with the exception of the Advent season, which will be replaced with an Advent reading. Working on those soon!
22:22-26
I will tell of your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:23
You who fear the LORD, praise him!
All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him,
and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel!24
For he has not despised or abhorred
the affliction of the afflicted,
and he has not hidden his face from him,
but has heard, when he cried to him.
25 From you comes my praise in the great congregation;
my vows I will perform before those who fear him.26
The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied;
those who seek him shall praise the LORD!
May your hearts live forever!

where she may lay her young,
at your altars, O LORD of hosts,
my King and my God.4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house,
ever singing your praise! Selah
84:8-10
O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer;
give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah9
Behold our shield, O God;
look on the face of your anointed!
