Everything, Everything

The steadfast love of God endures and places on my heart,

A peace amidst the mires o that the sins of men might start.

Such a vile sin is mine own natures inclination.

Yet the joyous Father shines and makes my wanting patient.

Evil often chases me but omnipresence remains faster.

Save me or sit with me Lord in my mind’s disaster.

Man of sorrows sorry for my so ever-present grumbling.

I know I’m forgiven but nostalgias so ever humbling.

Thanks be to God the One who’s will all will one day kneel to.

For man may plot his days but You solidify what’s seem through.

O how You rescued me Lord from that chief of sinners, myself.

Towards children poor in spirit, bountifully Your Spirit pours wealth.

Beloved Shepherd, tenderly tending to those believing.

Creator and Sustainer, provident morning and evening.

And o Your greatness, my finite words cannot scratch the surface.

Eternity is infinite so there my songs can have more verses.

Everything, everything will rejoice one day. Everything in due time will praise,

The One who made everything, so I’ll thank Him in everything all of my days.
